One Community's Solution to Covenant Violators
The Planning and Zoning Commission of Madison, Mississippi recently adopted an interesting resolution - any violation of an HOA's covenants will be equated to violating a city ordinance. The purpose of the resolution is to give "homeowners associations more teeth" in enforcing their covenants. The resolution, which has been given the legal okay by the city attorney, awaits the final approval from the city's mayor and Board of Aldermen.
